Judith Hulson-Calvert was born and raised in South Wales (a very musical country!), U.K. At the tender age of 4, her preschool teacher suggested to her mother that she had a “musical” ear and should consider piano lessons. Judith completed her Grade 8 piano and theory of Music with the Royal Schools of Music and became an Associate of the London College of Music in 1981. Judith also completed a BA in German and Modern Literature at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, U.K. in 1984.

Australia has been home for 21 years. For most of that time, Judith’s music remained a passionate hobby, while pursuing a career in Call Centre and Customer Service management. Having previously taught keyboard in Sydney, Judith is now fulfilling her dream of having a music school, with the vision of creating musical learning opportunities on the Central Coast for people of all ages and abilities.
Judith also plays violin and keyboard for the Wyong Musical Theatre Company and is currently studying violin at the Central Coast Conservatorium. Judith plays rock violin with an all girl a capella band called “The Housework can Wait”: regular gigs include “The Diggers”, Kantara House and Vagina Monologues at the Laycock Theatre and Wyong Memorial Hall. “The Housework can Wait”: are also popular at private parties, especially 40th and 50th birthday celebrations. Judith lives in Mardi with her husband Eddie and dog Max. Judith’s other passion is horses and she visits her horse Echo as often as is possible for relaxing trail rides in Ourimbah State Forest.
“I have always believed that music feeds your soul and the earlier start, the better for your child. I chose Kindermusik as my early childhood music program, because it is simply the most well-respected in the world today. Kindermusik combines 25 years experience with up-to-date developmental research, ensuring the best experiences for little ones and their carers.”
“Encore on Keys is a fabulous Aussie piano/keyboard program, mirroring the same philosophies and vision of Kindermusik. It is the ideal start to instrument instruction and the next step up from Kindermusik I love the CDs and MIDI files, which help the student understand how something should sound BEFORE they learn to play it and provides quality accompaniment post learning the songs”.
