Village is for lap babies, crawlers, and walkers accompanied by a parent or caregiver. This is a special program where you and your baby share in the moments that happen through music, movement, touch and sounds.

In class we will balance the education of your child by experiencing both vestibular (ear & balance) and visceral (gut & heart) stimulation. We help educate you by demonstrating activities that aid your babys development as well as with your own musical development! Maximum 8 per class. 

I like the musical structure of Kindermusik Village - it is more than just me singing nursery rhymes and Nick Cave and then randomly getting the glockenspiel out - the CD gives me an hour of songs, actions and a routine which I like because I am a planner and like to be organised. I am so glad that I have discovered Kindermusik and that I am giving my daughter the best opportunities so early in her life. I am planning on having so much fun with my little family! Our Time focuses on your toddler's healthy emotional development as their confidence, curiosity, self-control, and communication begin to take place. Instrument exploration nurtures their self-esteem and facilitates their discovery of textures and sounds.

Language skills are fostered with singing, sound imitation, rhyming and object identification. Creative dancing to different musical moods develops their sense of balance, timing and spatial awareness while affirming her urge to move. The anticipation of listening is introduced, and with turn-taking activities, social skills begin to blossom! Maximum 8 per class.

The perfect music program for the pre-schooler with the burgeoning imagination. We sing , we dance, we play instruments just as in all other pre-school music programs with the added bonus of at home craft projects (for the budding creative artist) and reading books to develop early literacy. This is all done to a wonderful backdrop of varied musical styles (jazz/classical/world and contemporary music) and bases it's teaching philosophy on the ideas of Piaget/Dalcroze/Kodaly and Orff.

Encore on Keys is a new and exciting approach to piano/keyboard learning. It is a complete method that combines piano/keyboard playing with aural training and awareness, keyboard harmony, ensemble playing, rhythm development and music literacy. This integrated approach is suitable for both private and group teaching. $15 per class group or $22 per half hour private plus materials.

In a multi-age, multi-child Kindermusik Family Time class, youll see how:

• Music helps your family laugh together, share, take turns, and how musical learning really can be a family thing
• Your little one watches the older ones and learns from them.
• Early exposure to rhythm and rhyme develops the skills they need now and later in school.

Kindermusik family time offers a family approach to music. With older children ready to show the little ones how it's done and the younger ones eager to learn, Family Time becomes a multi-layered learning environment. Each week, a Kindermusik Educator will introduce basic musical concepts and then give you the instruments, and the structured free time to put those concepts into play.

Your children will listen to instruments and to each other, learn from their peers and older children, and enjoy music and movement with hoops, scarves and tumble-around play. Story time and family jams, puppet play and happy singing are just some of the Family Time activities which encourage discovery and exploration and foster sharing and social skills too. In this special place for musical, social and emotional learning, your children will strengthen their ties with each other and with youand they'll start developing the skills they'll need in school and on the neighbourhood playground. Maximum 5 families per class.
